As a DT Technician, you will work closely with the Heads of Department and teaching staff in Art and Design Technology. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to :
- Preparing and setting up equipment for lessons
- Supporting students during lessons
- Maintaining adequate stock levels and ensuring routine equipment maintenance
- Assisting with classroom activities and student skill development
- Adhering to health and safety requirements and risk assessments
- Collaborating with colleagues to inspire curiosity and a love of learning
Requirements:
- Workshop experience (transferable skills are essential)
- Literacy and numeracy skills (at least GCSE grade C/4 in Maths and English)
- Willingness to learn relevant health and safety guidelines
- Passion for working with young people and supporting their journey into adulthood
