Teaching Assistant Alternative Provision

We are working with a national group of 13 independent OFSTED-regulated schools dedicated to high-quality and purposeful education. These schools are small, with an average of 30-55 pupils, focusing on helping young people achieve positive progressions to return to mainstream schools or enter Further Education. They provide a safe space for children, supported by nurturing and encouraging adults.

At the High Wycombe location, approximately 20 pupils are supported by a core team of the Head of School, three teachers, and three support staff, with additional regional and national support.

About the role:As a Teaching Assistant, you will support students in various capacities, provide positive encouragement, and help them reach their full potential. You will assist with writing and monitoring pupil learning plans, implement interventions, support learning activities, and work with other practitioners to address pupils' barriers to learning.

Requirements:

  • GCSEs in Maths and English (C or 4 grade and above) or equivalent
  • Experience in an education setting or equivalent
  • Experience working with vulnerable pupils
