Job Title: Residential Childcare Development Coach

Location: Hybrid (First 2 weeks in-office, then fully remote with weekly office visits for the first 6 months)
Salary: Starting at £28,000 per annum

About the Role:

As a Residential Childcare Development Coach, you will play a pivotal role in guiding and developing apprentices within the residential childcare sector. Your expertise will help shape their skills, knowledge, and confidence, ensuring they provide the highest standard of care to vulnerable children and young people.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coaching and Mentoring: Provide tailored coaching and mentoring to apprentices, helping them excel in their roles.
  • Assessment and Evaluation: Conduct regular assessments to monitor apprentices' progress and ensure they meet the required standards.
  • Training and Development: Deliver engaging training sessions, using your expertise to enhance apprentices' understanding of key childcare practices.
  • Safeguarding and Child Protection: Promote a culture of safeguarding, ensuring apprentices are fully aware of their responsibilities.
  • Behavior Management: Equip apprentices with effective behavior management strategies, fostering a positive and nurturing environment.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate documentation of apprentices' progress and achievements.
  • Compliance and Legislation: Ensure all training and coaching is aligned with current legislation and best practices in residential childcare.

  • Hybrid Working Model: Enjoy a flexible working arrangement with the first 2 weeks in the office for onboarding, followed by remote work. For the first 6 months, you'll visit the office weekly to stay connected with your team, after which you'll transition to fully remote working.

Qualifications:

  • Essential: Level 3 in Residential Childcare
  • Essential: Experience as a residential manager - (2 years)
  • Preferred: Level 5 in Residential Childcare
