Position Title: Interim International Payroll Specialist
Location: Birmingham (Hybrid working - Lots of flexibility - approx 2 days a month in the office)
Duration: 6 months - to perm/extension

Reports To: Global Payroll Manager

Company Overview: Working for a leading global organization known for its innovative solutions and commitment to excellence. They are seeking an experienced Interim International Payroll Specialist to join their dynamic team and ensure accurate and timely payroll processing across our international operations.

Job Summary: The Interim International Payroll Specialist will be responsible for managing and overseeing the payroll processes for employees across multiple countries. This role requires a deep understanding of international payroll regulations, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with various internal and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations while providing exceptional payroll services to our international workforce.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process and manage payroll for employees in multiple countries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local regulations and company policies.
  • Collaborate with HR, Finance, and other departments to gather necessary payroll data and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Maintain and update payroll records, including employee data, tax information, and other relevant documentation.
  • Ensure timely and accurate payment of salaries, benefits, and other compensation elements.
  • Monitor and implement changes in payroll regulations and practices in different countries, ensuring compliance with all legal requirements.
  • Prepare and submit payroll reports, tax filings, and other regulatory documentation as required.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, benefits, and deductions, providing clear and accurate information.
  • Liaise with external payroll service providers and governmental agencies as needed.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of payroll policies and procedures to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
  • Support audits and provide necessary documentation and explanations as required.
  • Participate in special projects and initiatives related to payroll and compensation.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an international payroll specialist or similar role, preferably in a multinational organization.
  • In-depth knowledge of payroll regulations and practices in multiple countries.
  • Strong proficiency in payroll software and systems; experience with [specific payroll software] is a plus.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
