Contract Type: 12 Months FTC

Location: Watford

Salary: Base salary up to £35,000 plus uncapped commission

Hours: Monday to Friday 9 am to 5:30 pm

About the Role:

As an Internal Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for creating, managing and developing relationships through proactive telephone contact with numerous intermediaries within your allocated region. The role involves working collaboratively with BDMs to hit product targets and is focused on promoting lending products to new and lapsed businesses as well as handling key account management.

Responsibilities:

  • Create, manage and develop relationships with introducers to achieve new business targets
  • Support BDMs with all mortgage and loan case management for broker partners and accounts. This is not limited to outbound sales, inbound inquiries, chasing terms and deals, meeting booking and proactive account targeting
  • Identity appropriate firms to work with regional BDM
  • Ensure any reports/CRM system is kept up to date, recording discussions and activities
  • Ensuring products are front of mind and that all intermediaries are updated on new products and features
  • Speaking with introducers and handling new business queries

Experience required:

  • Previous experience in sales is highly desirable
  • Experience in 2nd charge or residential lending is essential
  • Ability to build successful relationships
  • Ability to multi-task to ensure SLAs are met
  • Confidence to pursue leads and overcome objections
  • Self-motivated and a strong desire to succeed
