Trust Financial Officer

  • Salary Range: £25,000 - £27,000
  • Location: To be determined
  • Job Type: Part-time (Full-time may be considered)
  • Working Hours: 8am - 2pm, Monday to Thursday

We are seeking a Trust Financial Officer to manage and oversee the financial transactions within our organisation. The role involves comprehensive financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and the preparation of financial reports and analyses. The successful candidate will also be responsible for developing and implementing financial policies and procedures that support the organisation's strategic goals.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Oversee financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting to ensure the organisation's financial health.
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial reports and analyses for management review.
  • Implement and maintain financial policies and procedures.
  • Manage end-of-month financial processes to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with various departments to align financial management with organisational objectives.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong financial background with experience in budgeting, financial reporting, compliance, and resource allocation.
  • Previous experience with end-of-month financial processes.
  • Experience working in a school or Multi-Academy Trust (MAT) is highly beneficial.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and precision in financial tasks.
  • Proficiency in financial accounting systems and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) qualification is highly regarded.
  • Strong ethics and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Excellent time management skills to handle time-sensitive tasks effectively.
  • Have a drivers licence and a car
