SEN Teaching Assistant | Barnet, NW11 | £90-£105 | Full Time | Long Term-Perm | Sept 2024
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with special educational needs? LTF Recruitment are seeking a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a child with ASD/ADHD transitioning from Year 4 to Year 5 in our inclusive partner school. The student is currently working at a Year 1 level, with low interaction and emotional dysregulation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored 1:1 support to the child, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavioural strategies.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Support the child in developing social skills and managing emotional regulation.
- Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and other professionals to monitor and report on progress.
- Adapt learning materials and activities to suit the child's needs.
Requirements:
- Experience working with children with ASD/ADHD.
- Understanding of strategies to support children with emotional and behavioral difficulties.
- Patience, empathy, and strong communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with staff and parents.
- Relevant qualifications in education or special needs (desirable).
