About the role:
We are looking for an experienced fabricator to join our workshop team. Must be fully skilled in the fabrication of doors and windows.
We are known for our quality and eye for detail and we are looking for someone to join our team who shares our values. This role will see you become the lead fabricator working primarily on your own with assistance when required. Full training will be provided.
Once established in this role other duties will include managing stock for the workshop and being responsible for requesting additional stock as and when required.
We are a small business and as such there may be times when fabrication work is quieter. If this happens then you may be required to assist on installations from time to time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fabrication of Doors and Drive Thru windows in accordance with drawings and specification
- Work within a team to meet production targets
- Preparing aluminium including cutting profiles using chop saw, drilling and marking up
- Perform basic math calculations to measure and mark dimensions on materials for cutting
- Using punch tooling, router and milling machine
- Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy
- Maintain workshop H&S for a safe working environment
- Maintain workshop General House Keeping for a safe working environment
- Glazing where required
- Delivering and collecting the aluminium to and from the powder coaters
Essential:
- Experience in all aspects of fabrication scopes, minimum 2 years
- Ability to interpret design drawings, assembly lists & cutting lists.
- Be able to adhere to Health & Safety & safe working practices.
- Essential experience using metal working tools, such as chop saw, angle grinders, router, punching machines
- Due to insurance restraints all applicants must be over the age of 25 and have held a driving license for at least 2 years.
Preferred:
- Knowledge & experience with Comar or Kestral Aluminium systems.
