We are seeking a passionate and inspiring Drama Teacher to join a vibrant secondary school in Wellingborough. This is a permanent position starting in September 2024, offering the opportunity to contribute to a thriving drama department and enrich the lives of students up to KS4.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality Drama lessons that inspire and challenge students up to KS4.
  • Create a stimulating classroom environment that fosters creativity and learning.
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively, ensuring a positive and respectful learning atmosphere.
  • Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of students.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the national curriculum and teaching best practices.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, parents' evenings, and whole school training events.
  • Ensure the safeguarding of all students in the classroom.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
  • Previous experience teaching Drama in UK secondary schools.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Drama.
  • Excellent classroom management skills.
  • Ability to plan, deliver and assess engaging and challenging lessons.
  • Commitment to the safeguarding and welfare of all pupils.
