Role Overview:

We are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic KS3 & KS4 Learning Support Assistants (LSA) to join our team in Southend-on-Sea, Essex. As an LSA, you will work closely with students to provide tailored support, foster a positive learning environment, and facilitate their academic and personal development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilise your SEND experience to provide individualised support to students with diverse learning needs.
  • Employ effective behaviour management strategies to promote a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Demonstrate a good sense of humour to engage and build rapport with students.
  • Use your excellent initiative to adapt support strategies and activities to meet the unique needs and learning styles of each student.
  • Collaborate with teachers, SENCo, and other members of the SLT team to implement personalised learning plans and interventions.
  • Foster a supportive and nurturing atmosphere where all students feel valued and empowered to succeed.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with students with SEND is essential.
  • Strong behaviour management skills.
  • Excellent use of initiative and ability to work independently.
  • Understanding of different children's needs and learning styles.
  • Relevant qualifications or willingness to undergo training.
  • Right to work in the UK.
