About role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Estimator at our Cumbernauld office.
- Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration (HVACR) projects, including labour, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
- Develop and submit competitive bids and proposals to potential clients.
- Analyse project costs, budgets, and forecasts to ensure financial accuracy and efficiency.
- Evaluate technical drawings, specifications, and other documentation to understand project requirements.
- Work with vendors and suppliers to obtain quotations and ensure cost-effective procurement.
- Communicate with clients to clarify project scope, requirements, and deliverables.
- Identify and assess potential risks and uncertainties in project estimates and implement strategies to mitigate them.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to align estimates with project goals and timelines.
- Stay updated on industry trends, material costs, and labour rates to maintain competitive and accurate estimates.
- Maintain detailed records of estimates, bids, and project costs for future reference and analysis.
About requirements:
- Significant experience in estimating within the heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration (HVACR) industry.
- In-depth understanding of HVACR systems, components, and installation processes.
- Relevant qualifications in mechanical engineering, building services, or a related field.
- Proficiency in estimation software and tools, as well as MS Office Suite.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills to prepare accurate cost estimates.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for client liaison and team collaboration.
- Ability to identify and resolve estimation issues effectively.
- Experience in project management or coordinating large-scale projects is beneficial.
