Risk & Compliance Analyst

Reed Financial Services are seeking a proactive Risk & Compliance Analyst to support a national Financial Services Group seeking a Director of Group Risk in maintaining regulatory standards and best practices within the industry. This role is vital in managing risks to protect the business and its clients. The successful candidate will implement risk management and compliance strategies, conduct assessments, and promote a culture of risk awareness and compliance across the organisation.

Day to Day of the Role:

  • Collect and organise data to support risk control and assessment processes, including performing risk assessments and root cause analysis.
  • Maintain and update the risk register, ensuring timely completion of monitoring remediation and mitigation actions.
  • Develop strategies for mitigating identified risks and enhancing the firm's overall risk management framework.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the risk and compliance framework, recommending improvements.
  • Prepare, review, and maintain compliance documentation, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements.
  • Keep updated with regulatory changes and assist in implementing necessary policy adjustments.
  • Conduct compliance monitoring activities to ensure alignment with regulations and internal policies.
  • Coordinate and support the delivery of audits and the implementation of recommendations.
  • Develop and deliver compliance and risk training programs.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements in risk management and compliance.
  • Assist with the execution and maintenance of incident response plans.

  • Familiarity with GDPR, AML, TPR, FCA, HMRC, CIOT, and SRA requirements is advantageous.
  • Professional qualifications such as ICA, IRM, or CISI are advantageous.
