Your primary responsibilities will include assisting the classroom teacher, implementing individualised education plans (IEPs), and providing one-on-one support to ensure each student can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the classroom teacher in delivering tailored educational activities.
- Assist in the implementation of individualised education plans (IEPs).
- Provide one-on-one support for students with complex needs.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Help manage classroom behaviour and promote social skills' development.
- Assist with personal care tasks as needed.
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other staff to ensure holistic support for each child.
- Participate in staff meetings and professional development sessions.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Previous experience working with children with special educational needs (SEN) is highly desirable.
- A relevant qualification in childcare or education is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children with complex needs.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the varied needs of students.
