Project Assistant (Site Management)

Meraki Talent is partnered with a highly reputable construction and engineering firm to appoint a project assistant to their team in Birmingham. This is a full-time opportunity (40 hours per week - 8 hours, 5 days a week) for 6 months with the potential of an extension.

The purpose of the Project Assistant is to work closely with the site team regarding the management of site documents and the effective delivery of projects. You will also support the finance function concerning invoicing and purchase orders, coordinating travel arrangements and general administration tasks.

Duties include:

  • Management of site drawings
  • Ensure operative records are maintained
  • Comply with HSQE and welfare policies
  • Support with administrative needs on construction projects
  • Manage and organise preparation for Considerate Constructor Scheme visits
  • Travelling around various sites

To be suitable for this role you must have:

  • Relevant experience gained from a similar role - project/site assistant
  • Experience in construction or engineering site management
  • The ability to handle site documentation, record management, filing etc
  • Finance experience regarding invoicing, purchase orders, and payments through company systems
  • Hold a full UK driving license with your vehicle
  • Hold a CSCS or CCNSG Safety passport
  • Be able to manoeuvre around construction sites for a minimum of 8 hours a day
