?? Hourly Rate: £18.41 PAYE (Equivalent to £35,526 FTE)

Make a Difference in Fraud Prevention and Victim Safeguarding
We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Fraud Safeguarding Protect Officer to join the local police force's Serious and Organised Crime / Economic Crime Unit. This is a unique opportunity to play a vital role in protecting vulnerable individuals from fraud and supporting community safety across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.
?? Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and safeguard medium to high-risk fraud victims.
  • Liaise with internal teams and external agencies to implement protective measures.
  • Monitor and improve the Vulnerable Victim's Matrix and related procedures.
  • Identify emerging fraud trends using NFIB data to inform prevention strategies.
  • Deliver fraud awareness presentations and support public engagement events.
  • Provide high-quality advice and information to internal teams and the public.
  • Collaborate with Cyber Protect teams on joint initiatives.

Additional Requirements:

Full UK driving licence and access to a reliable vehicle (travel across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight required).

Desirable:

Experience in a fraud-related environment and understanding of its challenges.

Essential:

Educated to QCF Level 3 or equivalent experience. Strong communication skills (written and verbal). Experience preparing and delivering presentations. Ability to write clear, concise reports.
