Part Time Accounts Assistant - Temp to Perm

Purchase Ledger / Accounts Assistant

Contract: Temp to Perm
Location: Irlam
Working Hours: Office-based, 20 hours per week - hours to suit.
Salary: £14-15ph
System Used: SAGE (not essential)

Key Duties:

  • Data Entry and Record Keeping: Accurately input financial data into accounting software, maintain organised records of all transactions, and ensure that all entries are up-to-date and correct.
  • Invoice Processing: Handle the processing of incoming and outgoing invoices, including verifying the accuracy of information, obtaining necessary approvals, and ensuring timely payments and receipts.
  • Bank Reconciliation: Perform regular bank reconciliations by comparing statements with the company's ledger to identify and rectify discrepancies.
  • Assisting with Financial Reporting: Help prepare financial reports by collecting and summarising account information, and assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Expense Tracking and Management: Monitor and track expenses, ensuring they are recorded correctly and within budget, and assist in the preparation of expense reports.
  • Supporting Audits and Compliance: Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and information, and ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and company policies.
