On behalf of this leading chemicals business who have been market leaders for 20 years, we are looking for a Technical Applications Manager to work as part of their Personal Care Technical Development team.

What you'll be doing:

You will be supporting the Personal Care team in introducing a wide portfolio of raw materials, via formulation design and knowledge of manufacturing processes. Your key responsibilities will include ensuring customer laboratory formulation projects are completed to a high standard. You will service your customer portfolio and assist the account management team with technical enquiries.

  • Providing Technical Support for a portfolio of specific Personal Care customers.
  • Designing new formulations to demonstrate our portfolio of ingredients.
  • Filtering and actioning new Personal Care customer enquiries.
  • Using technical expertise to develop brochures, presentations, social media posts and website updates.
  • Creating and delivering technical and trends-based presentations to customers at industry events.
  • Creating concepts and presentations for customer training forums.
  • Accompanying the Personal Care team on UK wide visits to support formula troubleshooting.
  • Attending industry exhibitions and training at suppliers.

Your background...

  • 5 – 8 years' experience in developing personal care formulations.
  • A strong scientific background including a bachelor's or master's degree in chemistry, biology, cosmetic science, or a related field.
  • Strong communication skills and an excellent collaborator
  • Ideally a Full UK Driving License
  • Experience in Skincare and SPF formulations would be an advantage.
