Job Title: Manual CNC Miller
Location: Biggleswade
Salary: £14-£17/h
Role Overview:
Cooper Lomaz are working with a well established sheet metal company are seeking a reliable, innovative machinist who can work independently with both conventional and CNC machines. You should have strong skills in trigonometry, geometry, statistics, and algebra, excellent computer and communication abilities, physical stamina, and an interest in production and processing.
Success in this role requires creativity, attention to detail, and a proactive learning attitude. You must excel in critical thinking, time management, and managing complex machinery, and be willing to lead by example.
Role Responsibilities:
- Writing and interpreting instructions and procedures to assemble equipment and products accurately
- Controlling machines and processes.
- Performing inspections of equipment, structures, materials, and products.
Required Skills:
- Understanding of mathematics
- Understanding CAD drawings, symbols, & tolerances.
- Recognised apprenticeship or City & Guilds training preferred
Desired Skills:
- Certificate in machine shop technology or machine tool technology/machinist.
- 3-4 year's experience in a machine shop environment preferred.
- Attention to detail and self-motivation.
Salary & Benefits:
- £14-£17/h- Depending on experience
Shift Pattern:
- Mon-Thur 7-4pm
- Fri 7-1pm
- 40 hour week
- OT available
