I'm currently working with a renowned pet food manufacturer that is searching for a talented Shift Engineer to join their dynamic team at their modern production facility. About the Role
As a Shift Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing mechanical and electrical systems across the facility. You'll ensure that production lines operate efficiently, tackling any issues that arise and minimising downtime. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys hands-on problem-solving and thrives in a challenging, team-oriented setting.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production machinery to keep everything running smoothly.
- Performing planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to prevent breakdowns and ensure equipment reliability.
- Responding quickly to machinery breakdowns and working proactively to minimise production downtime.
- Collaborating with the production and engineering teams to identify areas for improvement and implement technical upgrades.
- Ensuring all work adheres to health and safety regulations and maintaining detailed records of maintenance work.
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives aimed at increasing operational efficiency.

Shift Pattern: The role requires working on a rotating shift basis, on a 4on 4off Pattern with days and nights.
