Production Manager

Reed Recruitment is representing a client in search of a Production Manager with a strong background in facade, curtain walling, windows, and doors manufacturing. The ideal candidate will be proficient in software systems such as LogiKal and should be familiar with system houses, including SMARTs. This role is for a leader with excellent people management skills and the ability to implement procedures and systems to improve manufacturing processes.

Day to Day of the Role:

  • Uphold company policy, procedures, and standards while maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Develop and improve systems, processes, and equipment to boost production efficiency.
  • Lead production teams with motivation and direction, ensuring quality-based production.
  • Manage workflow to meet customer deadlines, including overseeing product specifications, drawings, and employee work for optimal productivity.
  • Organize and update training for factory personnel, maintaining records and documentation.
  • Manage factory employees' working hours and overtime to meet project programs and foster skill development.
  • Drive improvement by reviewing inconsistencies, challenges, and errors.
  • Ensure quality assurance aligns with system parameters and requirements.
  • Undertake operational duties as needed, including covering for staff absences and coordinating equipment servicing and inspections.
  • Monitor stocks of materials and consumables to meet production deadlines.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of the Health & Safety at Work Act.
  • Experience with LogiKal and V6 Software Systems.
  • Proficient in computer systems/software and standard office applications.
  • Previous experience in a Production/Manufacturing Manager or Supervisor role.
  • Experience with aluminium CW, windows, and door products (SMARTs or equivalent).
  • High-level personnel management skills.
  • Proficiency in digital data recording and project reporting on KPIs.
  • Strong communication, organization, motivation, and team support skills.
