Regional Safeguarding Lead

In this role, you will support the development of best safeguarding practise across a diverse mix of institutions, working closely with various bodies and senior leaders to ensure the safety and well-being of all. Annual Salary To: £66,186 (Pro Rata)

Working Pattern: Part Time, potentially open to Full Time applicants

About the Role:

As a Regional Safeguarding Lead, you will be a member a wider Safeguarding Team, supporting different bodies across the North West region. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing professional supervision to safeguarding officers.
  • Ensuring the implementation of national safeguarding standards.
  • Developing and leading regional safeguarding networks.
  • Collaborating with senior managers and stakeholders to promote consistent safeguarding practises.
  • Building effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Leading change and development initiatives.
  • Maintaining expertise in specific areas of subject specialism.

Essential Qualifications and Skills:

  • Experience in case management and safeguarding.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of research and evidence-based practises.
  • Extensive experience in providing professional supervision on safeguarding matters.
  • Proven ability to work strategically at a middle management level, influencing key decisions and driving implementation.
  • In-depth expertise in working with and supporting victims and survivors.
  • Leadership in driving organisational change and development, including cultural shifts, leading to improved outcomes for stakeholders.
  • Experience in collaborating with both statutory and non-statutory organisations to manage safeguarding allegations and conduct risk assessments.
  • Relevant qualifications in Safeguarding, or equivalent professional experience, preferred.
