SALARY: £43,421 - £48,474 per annum + Benefits

JOB OVERVIEW
We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Public Rights of Way Team Leaderwith project management experience, excellent supervisory, communication and negotiation skills and good knowledge of environmental safety, planning and PRoW DMMO processes within a local authority, council, public sector environment.
Working as the Public Rights of Way Team Leader you will support a team of direct reports, working collaboratively with colleagues to support with the management and maintenance of existing PRoWs and leading on the DMMO process.
As the Public Rights of Way Team Leader you will work with senior colleagues in multiple disciplines to deliver PRoW consultations through the provision of specialist planning advice, the negotiation of associated develop contributions, the development of delivery monitoring systems, and contributing to the continuing development of Council policy, while supporting your direct reports to achieve the same.
You will support with the development and implementation of Capital PRoW projects, engaging with a variety of stakeholders to respond to the changing demands and priorities of the team and will identify and actively develop opportunities to improve the rights of way network across the Borough.
As a member of Community, Heritage, Blue and Green Infrastructure within Environment and Safety, you will support the achievement of key priorities, making a real difference to the preservation and enhancement of the area, particularly as it relates to PRoWs.
The role of Public Rights of Way Team Leader will also help to support strategic and related major development proposals, through master planning, infrastructure delivery plans, guidance and policies and concept documents, providing pre-application advice, briefing Forums, Stakeholder engagement, determining applications, presenting recommendations to Committee and working closely with developers and promoters.
In addition, the service provides protection, preservation or enhancement of the area's ecological, conservation, heritage, landscape, rights of way and tree assets through the provision of advice or timely procurement of regulatory and enforcement action by others where expedient.

- Sound experience within Public Rights of Way
- Leadership / Supervisory skills
- Project management experience
- Confident communicator and negotiator
- Demonstrable knowledge and understanding of the PRoW DMMO process
- Self-reliant
- Can-do attitude
- Able to engage with a variety of stakeholders and strengthen working relationships at all levels
