Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and refactor code according to best practises and standards.
- Review and debug code, working closely with the team to identify and resolve any issues.
- Implement unit and system tests to ensure the reliability and integrity of the software.
- Take a problem-solving approach to identify bottlenecks and bugs and devise effective solutions.
- Estimate workload based on acceptance criteria and actively participate in work ceremonies, such as the Daily Stand-up.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an ETL/SQL Developer, with a strong focus on quality.
- Proficient in problem solving and familiar with design and architectural patterns.
- Understanding of Agile methodologies and experience in Source Code Management.
- Technical expertise in Microsoft SSIS, Microsoft SQL Server, and Microsoft Power BI.
- Knowledge of distributed source control systems such as Git or Mercurial.
- Experience with SSAS (desirable), Jira (desirable), and Snowflake (desirable).
- Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate across teams.
- Strong time management skills and ability to prioritise workload.
- Willingness to mentor junior team members and engage with problem-solving discussions.
- Proactive attitude towards identifying and addressing issues early in the SDLC.
- Ability to accept and learn from feedback and adapt to ambiguity.
Qualifications:
- Microsoft Certifications (desirable).
