As an ETL/SQL Developer, you will play a crucial role in designing, coding, and implementing software solutions that meet both functional and non-functional requirements, with a specific emphasis on ETL and data migration solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and refactor code according to best practises and standards.
  • Review and debug code, working closely with the team to identify and resolve any issues.
  • Implement unit and system tests to ensure the reliability and integrity of the software.
  • Take a problem-solving approach to identify bottlenecks and bugs and devise effective solutions.
  • Estimate workload based on acceptance criteria and actively participate in work ceremonies, such as the Daily Stand-up.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an ETL/SQL Developer, with a strong focus on quality.
  • Proficient in problem solving and familiar with design and architectural patterns.
  • Understanding of Agile methodologies and experience in Source Code Management.
  • Technical expertise in Microsoft SSIS, Microsoft SQL Server, and Microsoft Power BI.
  • Knowledge of distributed source control systems such as Git or Mercurial.
  • Experience with SSAS (desirable), Jira (desirable), and Snowflake (desirable).
  • Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate across teams.
  • Strong time management skills and ability to prioritise workload.
  • Willingness to mentor junior team members and engage with problem-solving discussions.
  • Proactive attitude towards identifying and addressing issues early in the SDLC.
  • Ability to accept and learn from feedback and adapt to ambiguity.

Qualifications:

  • Microsoft Certifications (desirable).

Reporting lines:

  • Reports to Team Lead.
