Weldricks is a family-owned pharmacy with over 62 stores and more than 600 dedicated employees in stores across South Yorkshire, Lincolnshire and East Riding.
We are looking for a friendly, professional, caring individual who can support the provision of the human resources service to the company and its employees.
You will know the importance of dealing with questions and queries with confidence and discretion whilst providing guidance and support on statutory processes and supporting HR Advisors with employee relations matters.
Role Overview
Your main responsibilities as HR Assistant will be:
- Ensuring statutory processes are dealt with within timescales, keeping procedures up to date with any changes in legislation.
- Preparing annual leave calculations for current employees, changes and leavers
- Providing appropriate and consistent advice/recommendations to line managers, (liaising with HR Advisors), whilst following internal procedures in all cases to maintain compliance
- Taking notes at hearings as required and providing accurate supporting documentation for those procedures
This is a full-time position working 39 hours per week, 9.00am to 5.30pm from Monday to Thursday, and 9.00am to 5.00pm Friday, with 30 minutes for lunch each day.
The hourly wage will be £12.15 per hour.
Essential Skills
We are looking for someone:
- Who is comfortable communicating face to face and over the phone and has excellent computer skills.
- Who has a good understanding of written English (Ideally, a minimum of GCSE grade C in English or equivalent).
- Ideally, with CIPD Level 3 qualification or have a minimum of 3 to 5 years working in an HR environment/similar role.
- Who is self-motivated and comfortable working as part of a team or independently.
