Position Overview:
The Freight Forwarding Manager will play a crucial role in our client's operations by managing the entire freight process from quoting incoming jobs to ensuring successful delivery. This role involves client relationship management, order placement with freight forwarding partners, and overseeing shipments to guarantee timely and efficient delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Quote Management: Promptly respond to incoming job inquiries, providing accurate and competitive quotes to clients.
Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and ensuring their satisfaction.
Order Placement: Coordinate with our client's freight forwarding partners to place orders, ensuring all details are accurately communicated and confirmed.
Shipment Management: Oversee the entire shipment process, from pickup to delivery, ensuring all timelines and quality standards are met.
Problem Resolution: Address any issues or delays that arise during the shipment process, providing proactive solutions and keeping clients informed.
Documentation: Ensure all necessary documentation is completed accurately and on time, including bills of lading, shipping instructions, and customs paperwork.
Market Analysis: Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to provide informed recommendations and maintain a competitive edge.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in freight brokerage, logistics, or a related field.
