An amazing specialist school in Bracknell are looking for an enthusiastic candidate to take on the position of Mental Health Teaching Assistant. The school cater to students aged 5-16 with varying social, emotional and mental health needs, providing them with quality, tailored education. As a Mental Health Teaching Assistant you would be collaborating with the SEN Teachers at the school to ensure a safe environment for the students to follow a curriculum not available in mainstream education. The responsibilities of a Mental Health Teaching Assistant range from helping students to self-regulate, coaching students facing mental health challenges and ensuring students can maintain their focus on their tasks. The specialist school aims to help students build independence, self-esteem and confidence. The Mental Health Teaching Assistant will be supporting students on a 1-1 basis, acting as a role model and moral support.
