REED are recruiting a Finance Manager for a market leading Tech focused Logistics Company. This position will provide support across a broad range of accounting disciplines within a commercial environment. This will provide the successful candidate with a varied role and the required exposure to develop and build a long-term career within an expanding finance function. Please see details below:
Finance Manager - £50,000 per annum
Full Time / 30 hours per week
Christchurch Based
Key areas of responsibility for the successful Finance Manager will include:
Reporting and Compliance
- Overall responsibility for the delivery of the monthly management accounts, from month end adjustments and balance sheet reconciliations through to the provision of commentary and insights for internal stakeholders.
- Ensure the Group companies remain compliant with accounting standards and regulations.
- Manage the year end audit process and the primary point of contact for queries
- Preparation and filing of statutory financial statements
- Assist the Financial Controller with the preparation of VAT and corporation tax returns and ensure filed within specified deadlines.
Financial Planning & Analysis
- Collaborate with the CFO to develop financial models, budgets, and forecasts.
- Analyse financial performance, providing insights and recommendations to drive business decisions.
Cashflow Management
- Manage, reconcile and control the sales/invoicing process.
- Regular review of aged receivables, working with credit control to ensure timely payments from customers.
- Regular review of aged payables, reconciling back to supplier statements.
Cross Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Marketing, and Operations, to align financial strategies with business goals.
- Support the development and tracking of key performance indicators (KPIs).
Team Management
- Direct line management of four direct reports, including coaching and mentoring so they can meet their career aspirations.
- Management of the Accounts Team email inbox, ensuring all queries are dealt with in a timely manner.
- Supporting the CFO, Financial Controller and Accounts Team with other day to day tasks and one-off ad hoc projects as required.
The successful candidate should have the following attributes:
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified with 2+ years PQE.
- Minimum 2 years' experience working within a commercial business in an accounting function.
- Demonstrable experience of producing financial models, budgets, and forecasts.
- Proficient using MS Office with advanced Excel skills (essential) and Power BI skills (preferable).
- "Can-do" and proactive attitude to work, using initiative to move tasks forward and reach a conclusion.
- Tech savvy with a keen interest in eCommerce and an eye for detail.
- Ability to deal with large quantities of data.
- Methodical, self-disciplined and have the ability to prioritise own workload.
- Confident communicating with people at all levels.
