Senior Legal Administrator

  • Job Type: Part-time (22.5hrs per week over 3 days)
  • Location: Hybrid working role - 1 day office, 2 days at home
  • Salary: Competitive

We are looking for a Senior Legal Administrator to provide commercial and legal administrative support to our Legal team. The successful candidate will ensure the delivery and management of all commercial and corporate contracts and processes, adhering to policies and legal requirements. This role is ideal for someone with a clear understanding of compliance and a background in commercial contracts.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Provide compliance and legal administration support to the Company Secretary.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and agreements
  • Analyse legal provisions and carry out legal research using legal databases.
  • Assist in ensuring business processes comply with regulatory developments.
  • Support Business Units in addressing legal requirements and developing processes.
  • Enforce record management policies and coordinate file and database management.
  • Maintain the contract repository and manage expiration dates.
  • Complete compliance process tasks through corporate software tools.
  • Assess business requests for internal or external legal resource handling.
  • Manage and file Group's intercompany service agreements.
  • Update and maintain corporate data in the Corporate Dataroom and data management system.
  • Maintain systems and tracking for key tasks and responsibilities.
  • Track compliance with governance policies and targets.
  • Respond to email queries and calls relevant to the role.
  • Support the wider Legal/Company Secretarial team with administrative tasks as required.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience of reviewing legal contracts essential
  • A Law degree, GDL, LPC, or equivalent.
  • Completed a module in Contracts Law with a good understanding of commercial contracts and legal principles.
  • Experience in a commercial contracts environment, including compliance and data protection.
  • Ability to work independently with good time management skills.
  • Capable of producing quality contracts within established timelines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong business acumen with excellent organisational and attention to detail skills.
  • Proactive and trustworthy, with the ability to maintain confidentiality.
