St Helens MBC is seeking an experienced and compassionate Children's Social Worker to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable children. You will be joining a team consisting of a Team Manager, Assistant Team Manager, 5 Social Workers, and a Social Work Assistant
About the Role:
- Base: Atlas House
- Caseload: Approximately 20-22 children
As a Children's Social Worker, you will:
- Conduct thorough assessments of children's needs and risks
- Develop and implement effective care plans
- Work closely with families, schools, and other professionals
- Represent the needs of children in court proceedings
- Participate in regular supervision and case reviews
What You'll Bring:
- Experience in Child Protection and Care Proceedings
- A strong understanding of child safeguarding and welfare
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
