Head of HR and Compliance
Reed HR are seeking a Head of HR and Compliance Manager to join our clients growing business on a full time and permanent basis. This role will oversee and ensure the effective management of the businesses HR policies, health & safety, quality management, environmental management, and company social responsibility & ethics.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and regulations, leading training and development, and managing various accreditation processes.
Day to Day of the role:
- Develop, implement, and review HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with employment legislation.
- Lead recruitment strategies, employee appraisals, and the reward and remuneration process.
- Manage disciplinary, dismissal, redundancy, and employee exit processes.
- Oversee employee welfare, relations, and possible TUPE requirements.
- Produce and review health & safety policies, ensuring compliance with regulations and conducting investigations into non-compliance and accidents.
- Lead safety training, manage outsourced training requirements, and advise on health & safety regulatory developments.
- Develop and manage the company's quality management systems, including leading internal quality audits.
- Ensure environmental compliance, develop management systems, and lead initiatives to reduce the company's environmental impact.
- Manage company social responsibility and ethics, ensuring compliance with regulations such as the Modern Slavery Act and maintaining SEDEX membership.
- Oversee GDPR compliance and manage related processes.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in HR and compliance management.
- Knowledge of employment legislation, health & safety regulations, and quality and environmental management systems.
- Experience with ISO9001 and ISO14001 accreditation processes (or similar).
- Familiarity with GDPR and other relevant compliance regulations.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously.
