An opportunity for a Teaching Assistant has arisen, the position will be on a permanent contract directly with the school and the position will be full time from Monday to Friday during school term time only. The successful Teaching Assistant should have previous experience working with SEN students and be able to adapt to their individual needs, you will be expected to support students on a one-to-one basis and in small groups. As a Teaching Assistant you should have a passion for working closely with the students to build rapport with them so that you are best able to support them in and out of the classroom.
Students at the school currently range from ages 5-18 and classrooms contain 4 - 8 students. Students are provided a balance of educational and vocational instruction while learning communication strategies, integrating speech and occupational therapy methods and engaging in community immersion via volunteer activities, service-learning projects, and community outings. This school provides a balanced curriculum to ensure that all students receive a high quality and appropriate education and move seamlessly to the next stage of their education.
