A new exciting permanent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Production Engineer / Manufacturing Engineer to join a specialist and established manufacturing company based in Northampton. This is a full-time office-based position, working Monday-Friday and offering up to £43K dependent on experience.
If you are a systematic and technically minded Project Coordinator who has previous experience working within a manufacturing environment, and enjoys a varied busy role, working cross departmentally and building effective relationships with customers, then this might be the role for you!
The Role:
- Be the central focus point for customers and internal departments
- Support the technical needs of customer projects, ensuring requests are relayed to relevant teams
- Review and develop customer designs
- Ensure customer designs are feasible for manufacture and can meet the necessary performance requirements
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders
- Support with any project related issues
- Professionally lead conference calls, ensuring customers are kept up to date on the status of the project
- Implement and test new products to achieve desired effects and specifications
You:
- Previous project-based experience within a manufacturing environment is essential
- Able to develop relationships with customers and manage customer accounts
- Able to work cross-departmentally
- Experience of CAD would be advantageous
- Familiar with the APQP process and requirements
- Commercially astute
- Great communication skills
- Confident when presenting to customers and handling technical discussions
The Package:
- Up to £43K dependent on experience
- 1pm finish on a Friday
- Holiday is 4 weeks (20 days) plus 8 Bank holidays, increasing during service
- Pension 3% employer contribution
- Life cover after first annual year has been served
