SJC Partners have been mandated by a leading international M&A boutique to recruit a Modelling and Analytics Associate in Birmingham to focus on the application of modelling techniques and leading edge data analytics to support clients' decision-making.
This team is highly regarded in deals market and have made significant traction in the marketplace and have an excellent pipeline for 2024 they are confident of converting. Consequently, they seek an outstanding Associate to take a key role in the delivery of projects in 2024 and beyond. Key responsibilities would cover:
- Designing and building a variety of Excel-based financial models to support clients' decision-making (for example Strategic planning models to evaluate business decisions; Modelling corporate transactions to understand the value and risks of M&A activities and Corporate planning and budgeting analysis).
- Data analysis – combine, analyse, and visualise data from a variety of sources to provide insight and enable data-driven decision-making.
- Communicating regularly with the company and their advisors to ensure the model / data analysis is fit for purpose and reflects the business and the needs of the transaction.
- Building internal and external networks, working with a variety of stakeholders across the business to deliver for our clients.
Applicants should be qualified (ACA or equivalent) with experience of M&A transactions, relevant analytical / modelling building experience a plus but by no means a pre-requisite. Applications are welcome from recently qualified individuals from audit looking to move into a commercial role.
