The Role

As our new Events and Marketing Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering our events strategy. You should have a solid marketing background, with particular experience in online and in-person events, and will work alongside a team of talented Marketing Managers to develop an integrated programme of both "owned" and third-party conferences and events, spanning online and in-person formats.

Your focus will be on maximising the value of everything we do, ensuring that each event is not just a standalone experience but part of a broader, integrated marketing campaign that enhances our brand visibility and drives engagement with our target audiences. From supporting our Client Management team with hospitality to underpin our renewals program, managing our presence at a key third-party event such as HR Forum, to supporting the sales team with regional and partnership initiatives - the role is full of variety. Leading the delivery of all events, you will ensure we provide an appropriate WorkNest experience through every stage, from initial invite to attendance and follow-up.

About you

  • Marketing expertise: Must have a strong Marketing background with good experience of managing a mix of owned events as well as third-party conferences and events, ideally within a B2B environment.
  • Campaign management: Beyond event management, you should be skilled at developing and running integrated marketing campaigns that maximise the value and reach of each event.
  • Event leadership: Demonstrable ability to lead small to medium-scale events and roadshows, ensuring each one delivers both value and a memorable and effective experience.
  • Technical proficiency: Experience with CRM systems, Pardot and Salesforce preferably.
  • Creativity and innovation: A creative mindset to think outside the box, ensuring WorkNest events live up to the brand and stand out from the competition.
  • Excellent communication skills: Must excel in communication and confidently engage with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Organisational skills: Strong time management and organisation skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to multi-task.
  • Flexibility: A willingness to travel for event set up and management is essential.
  • Passion for learning: Must have a love of learning and a desire to try new things, constantly looking for innovative ways to engage our audiences.

Where you'll be working

This is a hybrid role working 2 days per week in our Chester office.
