This permanent Assistant Accountant role will offer varied exposure within the finance function, including month end tasks with opportunity to further develop once established in the role.

Your New Role as Assistant Accountant:
Reporting to the Financial Controller, and working within a friendly team, as Assistant Accountant duties will include:
- Assisting in the preparation of financial statements and ad hoc reports
- Supporting with the preparation of the monthly management accounts pack
- Providing support at year end
- Assist with preparing information for internal and external audits
- Assist in the preparation and maintenance of ledgers and journals
- Support with AP and credit control as required
- Responsibility for payroll processing
- Communicating with a variety of internal stakeholders to deliver financial insight and advice
- Other ad hoc tasks as required
Experience & Qualifications Required to Apply:
The successful candidate will ideally be actively studying CIMA/ACCA or be AAT qualified and keen to continue further study. Strong systems skills are required, particularly advanced Excel (pivot tables, VLookups) with experience of handling large and complex data sets. Exposure to month end and management accounting processes is also required, with the ability to quickly adapt to new systems and processes. Additionally, strong communication and interpersonal skills are required as this role will involve liaison with a variety of internal stakeholders.
