Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 per annum

We're working with a leading environmental consultancy that specializes in flood risk management, drainage solutions, and contaminated land assessments. This organization is well-regarded for its expertise and innovative approaches to environmental challenges. They are expanding their team to enhance their capacity for detailed drainage design and are seeking a motivated individual to join their sustainable drainage team.

Job Summary:

This role is a fantastic opportunity for a driven individual with a background in sustainable drainage. If you have a relevant degree and some experience in drainage design, this position will allow you to work on a variety of projects and contribute to the development of new services in the field.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drainage Design: Develop and prepare detailed drainage strategies, including calculations and technical drawings.
  • Technical Reporting: Write and review reports on flooding and drainage, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
  • Business Development: Support the growth of the company's drainage services by helping to acquire new clients and achieving revenue targets.
  • Regulatory Engagement: Interact with regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with drainage and flood risk regulations.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • Education: Degree in a relevant field such as sustainable drainage, civil engineering, or similar.

  • Experience: At least two years of experience in drainage design, either in a consultancy role or with a local authority.

  • Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in CAD software and surface water modeling tools (e.g., Microdrainage, Causeway Flow).

  • Knowledge of sustainable drainage design principles and foul drainage systems.

  • Experience in preparing SuDS management and maintenance plans.

  • Competencies:

  • Strong understanding of drainage requirements for property development.

  • Excellent communication skills and a valid driving license.

  • Experience in technical report writing and project management.
