Description
- Lead the design and development of new industrial products.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to ensure quality and efficiency.
- Utilise CAD software to create and modify designs.
- Participate in product testing and validation activities.
- Liaise with manufacturing teams to ensure design feasibility.
- Contribute to project planning and time line development.
- Research and implement new design techniques and technologies.
- Provide support and guidance to junior members of the team.
Profile
A successful Senior Design Engineer should have:
- A degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
- 3D modelling & 2D detailing using CAD software (CREO, CATIA, SOLIDWORKS or other similar).
- BOM maintenance (Bills of material) on business planning software
- Strong knowledge of industrial manufacturing processes (e.g. plastic injection mouldings).
- Familiar with DFMEA analysis and documentation
- Familiarity with integrating electrical systems into mechanical design.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Strong leadership and team collaboration skills.
- An innovative approach to design and development.
