Our client, a business with an impressive global footprint and a growing SME presence in the UK, is looking to hire an Assistant Management Accountant to join its close-knit team. This is the perfect role for an ambitious Accounts Assistant/Transactional Finance professional with strong double entry knowledge, looking to expend their experience further in the management accounting space. The role has great scope to expand to suit career aspirations for the right candidate and will come with full study support, as well as hybrid working (3 days in the office)
Main duties include:
- Entering and processing supplier transactions
- Processing supplier payment runs
- Supplier account reconciliations
- Credit control activities, i.e. customer account reconciliations, providing MI on debt position, analysis of aged items
- Daily bank reconciliation
- Assisting with the production of monthly management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations
- Supporting the budget planning process
- Cashflow forecasting and periodic analysis
- Providing cover for customer order processing team when needed
Key skills and experience required:
- Interest in or studying towards ACCA/CIMA
- Ideally educated to degree level
- Previous experience of AP and AR processing
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and organisation
- Positive and proactive approach to work
- Keen to add value wherever possible and contribute to the working environment
