We have a fantastic role working for a prestigious brand. We are looking for a Commercial Accountant will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the company. The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of experience in financial management and a proactive approach to supporting a dynamic management team. This role requires a strategic thinker who can balance hands-on financial tasks with advisory functions, ensuring the company's financial health and supporting sustainable growth.
While supporting the Head of Finance, the Commercial Accountant will oversee all internal and external relationships between the finance department and stakeholders. They will oversee all financial functions across both the UK & USA.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Conduct detailed financial analysis and present insights to the senior leadership team.
- Oversee budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring accuracy and alignment with strategic goals. Including meeting with all managers to compare budgets to actuals monthly.
- Monitor and manage company cash flow to ensure liquidity.
- Develop cash flow forecasting models and recommend strategies for improvement.
- Implement and maintain robust financial controls and procedures.
- Identify and recommend cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvements.
- Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.
- Liaise with external auditors and manage the audit process.
- Partner with the management team to provide strategic financial insights and guidance.
- Support decision-making with financial data and analysis.
- Develop and implement financial strategies to support business growth and profitability.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and risk management.
- Considerable experience working with Excel.
- Experience working in a role where a high level of accuracy and detail is required.
- Experience managing and prioritising own workload unsupervised.
- Proven experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and analysis.
