Are you a data enthusiast with a passion for risk management and analysis? We are seeking a skilled Credit Risk Analyst to join our client, a financial institution headquartered on the south coast. The role will focus on enhancing their credit risk management frameworks through data-driven insights.

Role Summary:

As a Credit Risk Analyst, you will support and enhance credit and financial risk management frameworks. You will work closely with various business units to identify, quantify, and assess risks, ensuring our processes are robust and compliant.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Conduct detailed analysis of credit risk portfolio performance using diverse data sets to identify emerging risks. Enhance and develop MI and analytical reporting tools to improve our understanding of current trends.
  • Data Integration: Strengthen credit risk capabilities by incorporating new data sources into risk oversight. Utilize external market data to benchmark performance and inform analysis and recommendations.
  • Tool Development and Automation: Collaborate with IT and other business units to create and automate tools for Risk Projects, ensuring efficiency and accuracy.
  • Risk Management Frameworks: Support the development and maintenance of robust risk management frameworks, policies, and regular reporting routines, presenting data and insights clearly to stakeholders.

Core Competencies:

  • Data Expertise: Proven experience working with and analyzing data sets from diverse sources, producing insightful analysis that drives decision-making.
  • Excel Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and VBA to manage and analyze complex data sets effectively.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to present data and insights clearly to various stakeholders.
  • Experience: Several years of experience in risk management or data analytical roles, with a Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, Economics).
  • Technical Knowledge: Understanding of credit risk within a financial services environment.
