CMS Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Manufacturing Supervisor for one of our Engineering clients. Our long established clients site in Gateshead North of England, currently supports a variety of Automotive customers both in the UK & around the globe.
Job Description: To perform the duties of a Manufacturing Supervisor. Working within a manufacturing company, who supply to the Automotive and Commercial Goods industries. All aspects of Metal Pressings, Machining and Assembly.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Reporting directly to the Manufacturing Manager
- Supervise the production teams, including Press Shop and Welding Bay, to ensure a high level of performance and quality.
- Organize workflow, planning and organizing production schedules to ensure products are manufactured efficiently and on time.
- Monitor production performance and implement corrective actions necessary to meet production targets.
- Ensure safety regulations are adhered to and promote a safe working environment.
- Oversee employees, including training, coaching and mentoring.
Person Specification
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment with at least 1 year in a supervisory role
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities
- The ability to operate in a face paced environment with changing demands.
Salary: £30k -£33k per annum depending on experience
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Work schedule: day shift (37.5 hours) Monday to Thursday, 07:30 am to 16:30 pm Friday 07:30-12:30pm (Must be an element of flexibility)
