Salary: £50,000 - £60,000k (experience dependent) + OTE

These events consistently attract thousands of attendees and are held not only in the UK but also internationally in Miami, Abu Dhabi, and Singapore. As we continue to experience rapid growth, we are seeking an experienced Sales Manager to lead our exhibitions team as we launch into new, exciting markets.

About the Role:

We are looking for a dynamic sales leader to drive revenue growth and lead our exhibitions team.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of exceeding targets, building strong client relationships, increasing average order values, and maintaining accurate sales forecasting. Excellent communication and negotiation skills are essential, with the ability to deliver value-based client solutions.

As Sales Manager, you will support a team of junior sales executives and account managers, fostering a culture of excellence.

Key responsibilities include securing exhibition and sponsorship packages, achieving team sales targets, and collaborating with management for event success. While new business development through telesales is a focus, attending industry events and reconnecting with past clients will also be vital.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor the sales team, setting objectives and driving continuous development.
  • Develop and execute strategies to surpass revenue targets and identify growth opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, securing long-term partnerships through tailored solutions.
  • Collaborate with event teams to shape strategy, optimise commercial success, and promote the company.
  • Oversee budgeting, financial reporting, and pricing strategies to maximise revenue.
  • Prospect for new business and manage existing client relationships through outreach and meetings.
  • Identify and close new leads to meet growth targets and ensure accurate forecasting.
  • Stay informed about industry trends in supply chain, logistics, and robotics to position offerings effectively.
  • Gain deep knowledge of Akabo Media's events, ensuring alignment with client needs and maintaining a healthy sales pipeline.

What's Required to Succeed as Sales Manager - Exhibitions:

  • 7 years of event sales experience, b2b exhibitions sales experience preferred.
  • Interest in the supply chain, logistics or robotics industries.
  • Strong sales and negotiation skills with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, including the ability to coach, mentor, and develop sales talent to lead a high-performing sales team.
  • Strong customer focus
