Experienced Client Accountant/Bookkeeper - Milton Keynes/Hybrid - £30-40,000 DOE

A small, friendly accountancy firm based in Milton Keynes, is looking for an experienced accountant/bookkeeper to join their motivated, close knit team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining financial records and managing day-to-day accounting tasks.

This role is ideal for those who have worked in practise previously and are looking to develop their career.

Key Responsibilities:

  • MUST have worked in practise previously and have experience working with clients.
  • Monthly payroll processing for directors (training provided if needed)
  • VAT returns and submission
  • Preparation of confirmation statements
  • Year-end limited company accounts and corporation tax computations, or preparation to trial balance level
  • Handling self-assessments for directors and sole traders
  • Providing ad hoc accounting services as required
  • Will be an eloquent and confident communication who is confident communicating with clients via phone and email in a professional manner

The Ideal Candidate: You will be detail-oriented and well-versed in accounting software such as Xero, Sage, and QuickBooks, alongside proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word. The role requires someone who can manage their time and clients independently while maintaining high standards.
