Social Worker - CIN/CP - Halton - £44.04

Halton Council is looking for a social worker for their Safeguarding team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established team for a competitive hourly rate of £44.04 per hour. The role is hybrid.

Key responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Duty Service to review and manage cases referred for Child in Need Plans, Child Protection Plans, or Children Look After Plans.
  • Provide expert assessment, planning, and intervention for children and families in line with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Work closely with families, service providers, and other professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for children and their families.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records, ensuring compliance with data protection and confidentiality regulations.
  • Engage in ongoing training and professional development to stay informed about changes in legislation and best practices.
  • Participate in court proceedings, presenting evidence and expert opinions as required.
  • Contribute to team meetings, case conferences, and other collaborative activities to ensure the highest standards of care.

Requirements for the role:

  • Be SWE registered
  • Hold a recognised social work qualification and have at least 2-year post qualifying experience.
