We are seeking a Procurement Officer to assist our clients Procurement Manager and Senior Procurement Officer in managing supplier relationships within the UK. The role involves purchasing goods and services, negotiating prices, and ensuring timely delivery to our distribution warehouse. Applicants should have basic numeracy, literacy, and office skills and be open to continuous professional development.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Forecasting requirements relevant to your scope of responsibility.
  • Updating and uploading information onto the in-house ERP system.
  • Monitoring stock levels to prevent stock outs.
  • Creating purchase orders for distribution to local suppliers.
  • Sourcing and creating PO's for ad hoc items.
  • Assisting with international imports and communication with freight forwarders as needed.
  • Checking invoices against POD receipts and resolving issues where required.
  • Maintaining up-to-date files.
  • Assisting with new product development and stock code creation.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum of GCSE O-level in Maths and English.
  • Proficient IT skills, with a strong emphasis on Excel.
  • Excellent literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and administrative skills.
  • Confidence in liaising with staff at all levels, both internally and externally.
  • Ability to work in both a warehouse and office setting.
  • Team player with good time management skills.
