Boston Hale is working with a reputable University based in London for a part time interim research finance manager role (20 hours per week). This is a 3 month temporary position with an opportunity of a permanent role at the end of the contract.
Duties:
- Produce and present reports in SMT meetings and provide advice for budget holders
- Compile research income and contribution analysis, discuss targets and variances with manager and adjust forecasts throughout the financial year
- Ensure effective and efficient management of external funded grants held by Principle Investigators
- Hold meeting with Principle Investigators on grant award
- Monitoring research grants and flagging issues of concern to Principle Investigators and Finance departments
- Produce appropriate research accounting reports for internal and external stakeholders
Essential:
- Part qualified CCAB and above
- Pre or post award research accounting experience
- Actively pursuing part time opportunities
