Job Description:We are seeking a skilled and experienced Setting Out Engineer to join our client on a temporary basis in Leicester. The role is for a minimum of 4 months, with the possibility of extension based on project requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform setting out duties accurately and efficiently for various civil engineering projects.
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with project specifications and industry standards.
- Collaborate with project managers, site supervisors, and other team members to ensure smooth project execution.
- Conduct site surveys and measurements to establish reference points and markers.
- Monitor and report on project progress, identifying any potential issues or delays.
- Maintain accurate records of all setting out activities and provide regular updates to the project team.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in civil engineering, with a focus on setting out.
- Experience in groundworks and small buildings is highly beneficial.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
- Proficiency in using surveying equipment and software.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- The ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
Qualifications:
- Degree or diploma in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Relevant certifications or training in setting out and surveying.
