Job Role: Teaching Assistant

Term Time only
Pay: Earn between £84 and £95 per day
Full-time ( 5 days a week)
Supporting SEND pupils - experience necessary

Career Teachers have an exciting opportunity to support teaching and learning in a wonderful and welcoming Special school in Burton-upon-Trent. The role is varied and requires an inspirational, flexible and resourceful individual that able to cope in a high-pressure environment. The ideal candidate must ensure that children and young people who have a range of educational needs achieve the best possible learning outcomes.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Collaboration with class teachers to deliver excellent teaching and learning
- Knowledge and understanding of SEN needs and best practice to support SEN learners
- Supporting assessment and evidencing learning
- Working with the teacher to create engaging classroom displays and stimulating learning resources
- Maintaining a safe and positive environment for all learners
- Creating opportunities for all learners to reach their potential, irrespective of ability
If you have the following please get in touch:
- Some school or SEN experience.
- Is Level 3 TA qualified or equivalent (desirable but not essential)
- A proven ability to work on their own initiative
- A high level of communication skills and the ability to relate positively to children and adults
- The ability to use relevant technology/equipment
- Has patience, empathy and a positive attitude
