As a Depot Based Engineer, you will be required to

  • Carry out planned service and maintenance work on both hire fleet and customers' equipment.
  • Perform fault location, diagnosis, and rectification on hire fleet and customers' equipment.
  • Prepare equipment for hire and assist in loading and unloading vehicles.
  • Maintain tidy work areas through general housekeeping.
  • Complete and submit all company paperwork as per procedure.
  • Safeguard all Company assets; ensure nothing leaves the depot without correct paperwork.
  • Promote teamwork and co-operation within individual depots and across the Generator Power Group of Companies.
  • Treat all employees and customers professionally and with respect.
  • Act in the best interests of the Generator Power Group of Companies.
  • Follow safe working practices and adhere to Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental guidelines (ISO 9001:14001 and OHSAS 18001).
  • Contribute proactively to the company's policy of continuous improvement.
  • Carry out any reasonable ad-hoc duties requested by your direct Line Manager or the Management Team.

Qualifications/Skills Required:

  • GCSE High School or equivalent
  • Apprenticeship in Engineering
  • City and Guilds Qualifications
  • Forklift Truck Licence

Experience Required:

  • Experience with generators/plant equipment/heavy engineering (or similar)
