Our client, a renowned healthcare provider, is currently seeking two Appointment Schedulers to join their Endoscopy Scheduling team in Stafford. In this patient-facing role, you will play a pivotal part in the smooth running of the Endoscopy department, promoting patient confidence in our client's professionalism and quality of care.

As an Appointment Scheduler, you will be responsible for contacting patients to arrange appointments, discussing procedural details, and scheduling appointments in the system. Your accuracy, efficiency, and interpersonal skills will be essential in ensuring patients receive timely and appropriate care.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Scheduling Appointments: Making outbound and taking inbound calls to arrange endoscopy procedures based on availability, healthcare specialist schedules, and patient preferences.
  • Patient Communication: Providing patients with information about their scheduled procedures, including arrival times and preparation instructions.
  • Coordination: Working closely with healthcare professionals to ensure a smooth process and availability of necessary resources.
  • Documentation: Maintaining accurate records of appointments, cancellations, and updates in the hospital's scheduling system and electronic medical records.
  • Patient Support: Assisting patients with scheduling conflicts, concerns, or special requirements.
  • Compliance: Adhere to hospital policies and regulatory requirements
  • Problem Solving: Addressing scheduling conflicts, cancellations, and urgent appointment requests effectively.
  • Customer Service: Delivering excellent service to patients, family members, and healthcare providers by responding promptly and professionally.

Required Skills / Experience:

Previous experience in a healthcare setting within scheduling or administrative roles
Knowledge or experience in endoscopy procedures is preferred.
Strong communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with patients and healthcare professionals
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
Proficiency in using scheduling software and electronic medical records systems.
Familiarity with medical terminology related to endoscopy procedures is desirable.
The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills, flexibility, and reliability to contribute to the delivery of a first-class service.
